The start of Thanksgiving
This year we had two dear friends join us for Thanksgiving. We served many traditional dishes such as turkey, mash potatoes, cranberry and green beans. By when my wife suggested that we make a beet soup and serve it in acorn squash bowls, I knew that we found something special. I modified the recipe to include butternut squash, broth and spice so it went down smooth and easy. The presentation was really amazing as well.
